A Realistic Home Based Business

A lot of time, when you research a home based business, you run into people selling unattainable dreams. Oh sure, in every home business company, there will be a few who earn big money and can make claims of living on the beach and working just a few hours a week. But most of that talk is smoke and mirrors as this article describes when he tells his experience with a certain questionable company. Warning that story is not for the faint at heart.

The best thing about Lightyear Wireless is that it’s a realistic home based business. There is the opportunity to make loads of money but you can make a decent living at it as well. I don’t live on the beach and I work far more than a few hours a week, but I make a comfortable living thanks to Lightyear Wireless. It’s all real and it’s all based on a solid product line and service that everyone needs. Not some mumbo jumbo smoke and mirror business - a real home based business.

Start a Home Based Business Today

Not that many people wake up in the morning and say “I think I’ll start a home based business today”. Most people who think about how to improve their financial situation, think in terms of getting a job. However, with unemployment reaching 10% in many places, those people are being forced to reconsider the possibility of getting a job.

10% unemployment is a lot worse than the percentage indicates. The reason for this is that with each percentage point of unemployment the more people there will be competing for fewer and fewer jobs. It’s actually an escalating effect. I don’t mean to dwell on that, but I think this is why so many people are turning to a home based business. Lots of peple only consider it and never take it any further.

One of things that stop them from ever starting is they wonder “what will I sell?” and “how will I sell it?”. Both questions answered with Lightyear Wireless

Create your own Stimulus Package

There’s a lot of talk about stimulus packages lately. There’s even more talk about whether the Obama stimulus is working or not. At the very least, you must give the Obama stimulus some time and that points out something about it: It’s a long term investment not a short term fix. So why not create your own stimulus package?

If you’re finances aren’t quite where you want them to be, why not earn extra income with a home based business? Ad why not work a simple home business like Lightyear Wireless. It doesn’t get much easier than cell phones. Everyone has them, everyone more or less understands them. Everyone may not understand exactly how they work, but they know they do work and provide a valuable service to them. So forming a business based on the cell phone market is hardly a market that is narrow in any way.

Like the stimulus critics, the wireless industry has its critics too. Some of them say the wireless industry has peaked or is close to running its course. But there are signs on the horizon this is not so. Cases in point: the new frequency spectrums and the possible regulation of large monopoly-like relationships such as the ATT / Apple one. There is still a lot of room for growth in this industry so why not be part of helping make it grow?

Skins to Save your Skin

If you have a high end phone, do you protect it with a skin? A skin is a fitted slip-over product, usually made of rubberized material, that are specifically designed for certain phones. Phone designs come and go pretty fast, so in some cases, skins that fit your phone might be hard to find. Or the phone design itself might prevent a skin from being used. An example would be the various LG phones that flip open from the side to reveal a full mini QWERTY keyboard. It would be hard to design a skin for that! Besides, LG keeps changing the deigns so it would drive the skin manufacturers crazy trying to keep up.

That aside, there some phone models that are reasonably stable so they continue to have skins made for them. Skins are usually very cheap and provide a cushion for your phone in case it’s dropped on a hard surface. Some phone plans cover damage others don’t. Here are a few skins for higher end phones sold by Lightyear - you can find the skins on various outlets. In some cases, you might even find them on eBay.

Can You Afford $50 for Home Based Business?

These days it seems like even $50 per month is a lot of money to some people. But is it? $49.99 is how much it costs to run a Lightyear Wireless business each month. No hidden fees, no extra charges, just 49.99. Some of the people I talk say things like “well, I’d really like to join but I’m not sure I can get together $50 per month”.

A lot of times when we do some digging, we end up finding that $50 per month. For example, one woman was going to Starbucks 5 mornings a week and spending on the average $4. You do the math. We didn’t have to look very far to find that $50. She can still go twice a week and set aside the $50. Another guy I was speaking with was spending over $100 per month on cigarettes and was really wanting to quit. Everyone who is hooked on tobacco ‘wants’ to quit and it’s harder than just saying “I quit”. So I suggested maybe he cut his smoking in half and therefore he would save the money. Furthermore, enjoying having an enjoyable home based business like Lightyear Wireless bringing in money each month, he can overcome that habit.

When you put your mind to it, money is a matter of priorities. And if a legit home based business is a priority for you, then you won’t find a better value than Lightyear Wireless.

Text Messages Speed up Workflow

Lightyear really uses its own technology. If you join the business side of Lightyear Wireless, you get your own MyWirelessRep website with a back office. One of the advanced options of the back office is that it gives you ability to configure your cell phone to receive text message alerts.

Alerts for what? Any time someone fill out the form on my website, I get a text message letting me know. And that is extremely useful. This way I can call the person back and reach them immediately after they’ve filled out the form. This is what’s called HOT leads. This way there is no opportunity for them to forget about the form they filled out. And this will allow you to talk with them when their interest level is still high. After all, they have just shown enough interest to fill out the form so their interest should not have waned yet. The old saying: “strike while the iron’s hot” comes to mind here.

If you want to learn more about the business, tonight’s conference call is at 10:00pm (EST) and the following information will get you in.

Pre Paid Plans are Growing the Industry

Prepaid plans were once the ‘dirty distant cousin’ of wireless plans. However, this sector of the wireless industry has taken its rightful place with regular wireless. And it’s gaining ground on the regular wireless. According to this source, prepaid carriers added 2.625 million subscribers in the first quarter making it the surprise banner story of the 1st quarter.

This is cementing my theory that it’s not just people with poor credit who are going after pre-paid wireless plans. People with perfectly normal credit are going after these plans too because everyone is doing what they have to in order to minimize risk. A two year wireless plan for someone who isn’t certain about their ability to pay for the next two years is a risk factor.

Also consider how long two years is in an industry like wireless. So much changes in two years that people don’t want to get ’stuck with something’ for two years. I don’t know if this surge to pre paid wireless will continue, but it’s good to know that Lightyear Wireless is right on top of it. There is a reason they offered this service: people are demanding it.

Who Uses Pre Paid Wireless Plans?

Yesterday I pointed out that the main difference between Lightyear’s implementation of Pre Paid wireless and their regular wireless offerings is the price of phones. This makes pre paid plans look attractive for two groups of people.

First are those who have poor credit or extremely bad credit. To a get a regular wireless plan (Lightyear’s included), you must subject yourself to a credit check. If your credit score doesn’t live up to their requirements, you could be charged a higher rate or you could be denied a plan completely. This restriction goes away with a pre paid plan and that gives people with less-than-perfect credit an opportunity to use wireless services.

The second group of people are those who are credit worthy, but maybe don’t like the restrictions of standard wireless plans. Standard wireless plans usually require a two year commitment. These days, people are watching their money very carefully and many of them are reluctant to get into a two year financial commitment - even if it’s something relatively minor like a cell phone contract.

These two groups of people explain why the prepaid market is growing exponentially like it is doing. To sign up for Lightyear Prepaid Wireless click here for instructions. To order Lightyear Prepaid Wireless over the phone, call 866-737-5825.

Postpaid versus Prepaid Plans

One person asked me today why the prepaid phones have a ‘plan’. I know there is a lot of confusion about prepaid versus postpaid (also known as regular wireless service). Basically speaking, prepaid (as the name implies) is a plan you pay for your minutes ahead of time. Regular wireless service bills you once a month based on your usage in the prior billing period. That’s the basic difference, but there are a few other fundamental differences between the two as it applies to Lightyear Wireless.

Sprint Versus Verizon - Lightyear Prepaid Wireless runs on the Sprint network and Lightyear regular wireless runs on the Verizon network. The Sprint network is very comprehensive in that it covers most populated areas in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. However there are holes in the coverage in rural areas. The Verizon network has some holes too, but it tends to be more comprehensive than Sprint’s.

Rollover Minutes - The Lightyear Prepaid Wireless plans allow you to roll over unused minutes into the next month. This is a typical feature of prepaid plans and regular wireless plans typical don’t offer this.

Choice and Cost of Phones - In general the phones are cheaper if you go with a regular plan. This is because the supplier can roll some of the cost into the overall contract. In fact there are some phones with Lightyear Wireless that are free. No free phones with the Lightyear Prepaid Wireless plans. Furthermore, there is a better selection of phones with the regular Lightyear Wireless plans. (Lightyear will be adding more phones to the prepaid plans but for now there are just a handful).

Overall Value - On the surface, the Lightyear Prepaid Wireless plans are usually a better value if you consider the fact that the unlimited plan is $59.99. The Lightyear Wireless regular unlimited plan is $99.99. However, it would depend a lot on the cost of the phone you choose. As I mentioned, the phones are priced lower and in some cases free with the Lightyear Wireless regular plans.

Hope this helps!

Meet Lightyear Prepaid Wireless

Well tonight we got the news on Lightyear Prepaid. I had hoped to have information sooner than this but the Lightyear execs were still wrapping up details at the end of last week. Here are the instructions for signing up.

Go to:

http://homecellphonebiz.mywirelessrep.com/

Click on “Wireless Services”

Click on “Order Wireless Services”

Enter your Zip Code

You are then taken to a screen where you select Lightyear or Lightyear Pre Paid. Select the Pre Paid Option.

It shows two options: 200 minutes for $20 and 300 minutes for $30. That works out to 10 cents a minute.

There is an unadvertised option for unlimited minutes for $59.99. I have to send you a PDF application for that so if you are interested in that contact me at “homecellphonebiz@live.com”.

Minutes are per-month and must be repurchased each month in order to avoid having your phone deactivated. You must have at least 8 minutes remaining minutes on your account to make a call. You have an option to top off (add more minutes) during a month.

Minutes are “anytime minutes” meaning they are good anytime (no worrying about nights, weekends, etc). The Lightyear Pre Paid Wireless runs on the Sprint Wireless network.

When you get your phone, you will receive instructions on how to re-order the minutes. I’ll be posting more information as I have it.
