Tip for a Bluetooth Headset

The cell phone market is huge and along with that comes a hefty accessory market. A lot of times when you go to the ‘cell phone store’ to get a phone, the merchant makes the really big money on selling you accessories (that you may or may not need). One of the key accessories to a cell phone is the bluetooth wireless headset. They are enormously popular since they are wireless and that means you don’t have a wire dangling out of your ear. Furthermore, they work some distance from your phone. Mine for example works up to about 50 feet and sometimes through walls in my home.

Make sure you select a bluetooth that will fit you. One thing to pay close attention to is the hanger or hook (the part that wraps around your ear). The standard bluetooths have a ‘fat’ hook and that is problematic if you wear glasses. There is only so much room behind your ear for things to hang and your glasses will compete with your bluetooth if the hanger is too thick. Even if you don’t wear prescription glasses, you may want to wear sunglasses at times and these can be problematic as well. Choose a bluetooth that has a coated thin wire hook or that just fits snugly in your ear.
