No Get Rich Quick
There are several reasons that people are turned off by the idea of joining a network marketing business. One is that they may have joined one in the past with the expectation that it would be a “Get Rich Quick” business. And they ended up being disappointed that not only was it not GRQ but they learned that a network marketing business takes a lot of work like any other business.
Network marketing companies are partly to blame for this in their zeal to advertise the potential of the business. But if you are looking at business opportunities, don’t lose sight of the fact that there are no real GRQ businesses. Those people who have built themselves a wealthy business didn’t do so quickly and it took work for them. So it’s important to have the right level of expectation when sizing up a network opportunity business. Expect to have a great compensation plan, a good market to operate in, and good training and support. But don’t expect to get rich quick or you’ll surely be disappointed.
