Time is Right for Home Based Business

A while back I blogged about the importance of having a Plan B. Plan B as in what happens if my primary source of income drops off? This is becoming increasingly more important as jobs get fewer and fewer. A lot of people I talk to say they don’t think they can operate a home based business because the economy is so bad. That’s a glass half full or half empty thing. The reality is actually the opposite of what you might think if you are looking at the empty half. Now the is best time to get involved in a home based business because a lot of people are looking for answers to their Plan B question right now.

There were always be a large portion of people who will never consider a home based business. But as jobs get scarcer and pay scales become more eroded, many people will start to think about starting a home based business. They know they will need an alternative to the endless cycle of searching for a job, being hired, and the only to be laid off at some future point. This is your market if you join a business like MyWirelessRep. How will you reach that market? Well if you join under me, you will access to a team of experts who understand internet marketing and will be able to use little known techniques among network marketing people.

Layoffs, Gambling, and News

I know that many occupations in life are a gamble, but today I read that the casinos in Atlantic City have had large layoffs for routine casino staff. One might think the gambling industry would be a pretty safe industry to work in as far as job security, but it seems to be subject to the same business pressures as any other business. In the case of Atlantic City, it’s not the only gambling stop in the Greater NY vicinity as it once was and that has contributed to its demise.

I don’t bring this up to underscore the layoff situation. Instead I want to point out that this is representative of the mainstream media and their incessant love affair with bad news. Bad news sells and they can’t dish up enough of it. I’m not sure why people like reading bad news; there must be some deep psychology going on there or else the news outlets wouldn’t focus so much on it. As for me, I see such layoffs opportunities since those people might be interested in starting a home based business such as MyWirelessRep. At least some of the folks getting laid off must be thinking: I’m getting tired of this, I want some time different, I want to be own boss for a change. Those are the people I would love to speak with.

Making Money Versus Saving Money

With the current ‘economic crisis’ everyone it seems is interested in saving money. This is evidenced by a recent report that showed November as being one of the worst months for sales in recent history (compared to prior Novembers). This is good evidence of people just hanging on to their money and not buying what they don’t need. And there is good reason for this. It’s not just out of fear, but it’s out of the need to plan accordingly. Also prices in some areas have remained high. Many food prices that went up over the summer due to fuel prices have not fallen back down accordingly with the now lower fuel prices. So people have to hang to more dollars to make ends meet, particularly those with a family.

But how far can you cut expenses? How much can you really cut back? How low can you go? At some point when you start to cut back on things that shape your lifestyle, you are cutting back on the quality of your life. Wouldn’t it be better to take in a few hundred extra dollars per month than to have to save that amount each month? For that matter, why not make more than a few hundred!  But instead of scraping and saving, why not try earning more with a low cost home based business that’s easy to build and operate like MyWirelessRep.

Lotto Versus Home Business

Recently I spoke with someone about home business opportunities and we had a very interesting discussion about the Lottery. Here it’s the Washington State Lottery. This individual thought the chances of getting success in a home bases business was about the same as playing the lottery. That of course, was a notion I vehemently disagreed with.

Let’s compare the lotto to running a MyWirelessRep home business which costs $49.99 per month to run. Say that we compare that to buying $49.99 worth of lotto tickets every month. Yes, you might win one of the lotto’s larger prizes, but everything is left up to chance. You can try to tell me that the more months go by that you pay $49.99 into the lotto system, the more your chances increase. I might go along with that, but let’s ask the tens of thousands of regular lotto players that never win a large jackpot how they feel about that.

If we took that same $49.99 each  month and instead of buying lotto tickets, put it into a MyWirelessRep home business, would that guarantee a big prize either? Not really, but the big difference is the MyWirelessRep is effort based and the lotto is chance based. The more you work a home based business (whether it be MyWirelessRep or some other business), the more success you will have. It’s that simple. You may have failures along the way, but there is a prize of success waiting for anyone who is willing to put in the time and effort that goes along with the business.

The person I spoke has not yet signed up for the business although I gave him that thought to leave with. For the record, we did estimate he is spending at least $50 per month on tickets. What about you? Are you looking for a chance driven lifestyle or an effort driven lifestyle? Would you spend $50 on the lotto or on building your home based business?

Constant Negative News

I heard that as an acronym for CNN the other day: CNN = Constant Negative News. How true! But it’s not just CNN, it’s the entire news media focusing on the gloom and doom of the economy. And why not? From their perspective, it sells news. And bad news sells. But here’s the rub. The more your expose yourself to that bad news, the more it sinks in and the more you will tend to think gloom and doom. The much ballyhooed Law of Attraction states that you get more of what you focus on. So if you focus on the gloom and doom of the economy, guess what? You’ll get more of it.

On the other hand, if you focus on building a home based business like MyWirelessRep, you’ll get a good solid business. For most people that’s a positive thing to focus on. What about you?

Network Marketing Versus Investing

There are a number of ways to make money besides a good old Jay Oh Be. Those “Jay Oh Bees” are getting harder to come by especially the ones that pay good money. So that leads a lot of people to look elsewhere for their income – especially in times like these.

Two traditional non-job ways of making money are investing in the markets and Network marketing. The first big difference between these two options is that investing in the stock market (or other markets) requires a lot of specialized knowledge and instinct. The kind of instinct that comes from years and years of experience in investing. One cannot expect to read a few books and talk to a few people and suddenly become a successful investor. Also investment strategies require money. The old saying “you can’t make money unless you spend money” comes to mind here. And to get significant returns on investments, you must generally invest significant amounts of money. And of course let’s not forget the risk factor. We have just witnessed the risk factor in action in the stock market so I don’t need to add much there.

These issues don’t exist in Network Marketing. One does not need years and years of experience and hard knocks to build a successful network marketing business. One does not need a whole lot of money to start up a Network Marketing business – especially one like MyWirelessRep which is only $49.95 to start. As for the risk – well since you aren’t investing a lot of money there isn’t much money related risk. There is time and effort to be spent however – don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. This represents a level of risk that most entrepreneurs can live with. I live comfortably with this every day. What about you?
