Trading Time for Money
When you work at a job, you are essentially trading time for money. You work 8 hours a day, you get paid for 8 hours. And if you work more than a certain number of hours, you get paid an overtime rate. It works similarly for people who are on salary (except for the overtime part). On the last job I had before I quit and started my own home based business, I was in one of those ’salaried’ jobs. That meant there was no need to punch a clock or report my hours to anyone: I was just paid the same no matter how many hours I worked. Even under that arrangement, I was still trading time for money because there was this overall expectation that I would be there at least 40 hours per week and on the average of 8 hours per day. Either way you wrap it, you’re trading time for money.
For many people, that’s a good arrangement. That’s the norm and that’s what they expect. They never stop to question it. But many people, especially now, are beginning to wake up to the fact that as long as you are trading time for money, you will never achieve abundance and/or prosperity in your life. That is almost universally true in the ‘job’ world unless you can land a very high paying job that affords you abundance. Those jobs by the way are drying up quickly and what few are left have more competition than ever.
For those people that do wake up to the value of their time, I cannot think of anything better than network marketing. A network marketing business, like MyWirelessRep will take work – don’t get me wrong. But the big difference is that today’s work turns into tomorrow’s money with a network marketing business. The 8 hours you work today on your network marketing business can provide you with income many years into the future. It is one of the few arenas of business that can make that claim. So stop trading time for money and start spending it wisely. You can always get more money but you can’t have any more time.

Clarifying MyWirelessRep Costs
Yes it really is just $49.99! A few questions have come up about the initial enrollment cost. There are two options: Sales for $49.99 and Gold for $399.99. The more expensive option used to have side benefits with but now it has no benefit for the enrollee. It only benefits the person doing the enrolling by way of a one-time bonus payout. This is why I will never ask anyone who joins under me to sign up under the $399.99 option (unless something changes with that option that provides value for the enrollee). I would rather give value to the people enrolling rather than take the one time bonus for myself.
There are plenty of better ways to spend that additional $350 dollars anyway (on marketing the business for example). But $49.99 is all it will cost you. If you enroll at $49.99, that includes one month of your MyWirelessRep website and you will then be billed $49.99 each month after that. That does not include the cost of a phone plan by the way (which is optional but recommended).
Experience and Hard Work
I read the CNN every day (CNN doesn’t refer to the network, it refers to ‘constant negative news’) and it never ceases to amaze me on how many ways they come up with to write woe and grief into the news. The latest article is about how deep the layoffs in this recession are digging. According to the CNN, what’s different about this recession is that it’s affecting a lot of people who have never been laid off before or who were in what they thought to be secure jobs and got laid off anyway. According to one article:
Now the employment line includes workers who’ve never lost a job before and always believed experience and hard work would protect them.
My advice for those people would be to take a good look at that belief. Experience and hard work will help you, but not protect you. And those two attributes will take you much further if you have your own business rather than if you are working for someone else. At least with your own business you are the boss and you can’t be fired. That’s not to say that you can’t fail, but in your own business, you and you alone are in charge of the ship. I have been talking to a lot people in the last month about working with MyWirelessRep and many of them are shocked to find out that you can run such a home based business for less than $50 per month. And they ask themselves, why didn’t I start this sooner?
No Leap of Faith Needed
One of the many things that make MyWirelessRep different from other network marketing companies is that doesn’t require any particular leap of faith for its products. A lot of network marketing companies are based in the natural cures and health remedy product lines. Usually these products like MoneVie, Zrii, and Amazon Herbs are products that you just can’t find anywhere else. There is nothing on the shelves at Wal-Mart to compare to these and that’s both an advantage and disadvantage for these companies.
The advantage is they have a unique product. But the disadvantage is that for someone to actually get excited about these products they will have to use and experience the benefits of the product. Depending on the product, this may or may not happen. And it may take some time. Not everyone experiences the benefits of MonaVie and Zrii for example. A lot of people obviously DO experience the benefits, but not usually until they’ve tried it for awhile. The alternative is just taking a leap of faith in hope that the product works.
There is no such ‘experimental period’ or ‘leap of faith’ needed with Lightyear Wireless products. I mean who has to think about whether a cell phone is a product with value or not? Other considerations are made, but no one stops to think about whether or not a cell phone will work for them or not. With that huge step out of the way, MyWirelessRep becomes an easy selling proposition.
What’s Holding you Back?
What is stopping you from starting that home based business? Usually when I ask that question, I get one of several answers, usually having to do with doubt, fear, or time (not enough of). Or some combination or variation of those three. Of those three, only doubt is perhaps well founded. There are a lot of scams out on the net masquerading as home based businesses and anyone considering a home business should be wary of them. But that doesn’t mean you should keep a closed mind to every opportunity that comes your way. Keep the doors open, but don’t walk through them blindly. Ask some tough questions of whoever you tries to sign you up and that includes me. I am not afraid of tough questions, the worst that can happen is that I won’t know the answer and have to get back to you on it. As for the other two things; fear and lack of time, perhaps a subject for another day. But those are self imposed limits in my opinion. So what’s stopping you?
Consumer Electronics ahead of the Down Curve
There is no shortage of bad economic news these days, but once again we see that electronics (specifically consumer electronics) are faring better than most industries under the current conditions. Cell phones are a part of this group. Not limited to cell phones, the percentage of consumer spending on durable goods was at 17% last year. That is up from single digits 30 years ago and shows that consumer electronics like cell phones have become necessities, not luxury items. This makes MyWirelessRep a good solid option for a home based business. It’s a business where you don’t have to worry about the product going out of style or becoming obsolete any time soon.

Bad Credit Waived at Lightyear
Less than perfect credit and you want a wireless phone? Ha. You know what happens when you go to a Verizon or AT&T store and try to get a cell phone plan? If you have less than stellar credit, you will have to pay to some sort of deposit like several hundred dollars – sometimes as much as $500. Or you may simply be denied a cell phone plan and forced to purchase one of those ‘pay-as-you-go phone’ plans. This puts people with less than good credit at a disadvantage.
Enter Lightyear Wireless! Through the month of January, everyone gets a plan with Lightyear no matter what the credit status is. I don’t know how they can offer this; but it’s a win win for everyone who wants a cell phone but might be constrained by their credit rating. New Year; new phone plan with Lightyear.
