Cell Phones are like Soap
As the recession takes form, we are still seeing cell phones performing well. On the other hand, higher end electronic gadgets like HDTVs are falling by the wayside. These are things that people are deciding they can put off their purchases for these types of items. This group of items by the way, would include such items like the Iphone. The Iphone is more than just a phone obviously, but at its price tag it will be difficult for many people to justify.
The article linked below talks about this in more detail although it doesn’t mention the Iphone. That was my idea! But it says what we’ve heard before: that people are not likely do without a cell phone. Even if it means going with a phone that has fewer features. Many of these kinds of phones can found in Lightyear’s free phone offerings. Even the Blackberry phones are a better value than you might expect since they come in at under $200. Cell phones are like soap – people are not going to want to do without them.
