Dropping Prices for Cell Plans?

Cell phone prices have fallen greatly in the past few years. In some cases, they’re being given away free – with a plan of course. Speaking of plans, there is indication that the prices of plans may be falling too. Several carriers are implementing loyalty plans: lowering monthly costs for existing customers. These carriers include Verizon and of course Verizon is the underlying telecom carrier for Lightyear Wireless. Does that mean Lightyear plans will drop? I don’t know but they are already priced at competitive rates and provide huge value already. Customers may start skimping on higher end phones and higher end plans, so it appears the carriers will do everything to match their plans with the consumer budget.
