Up the Down Escalator
Here is a short video you must see to believe. It’s a woman walking up a very crowed escalator that is headed downward and very full of descending people. She doesn’t make much progress as a result. She also seems unaware of her dilemma.
There’s a business metaphor here and probably other metaphors too. But it reminds me of the way some people run their home based business. Doing things the hard way and therefore not getting very far. And not even aware of what they’re doing. Not measuring their success or lack of success. They just keep on plodding along oblivious to their ways. They do it because they’re determined but have not stopped to think whether they’re doing it the right way or not.
A home based business needs for you not only to put work into it, but it requires the work to be ’smart work’, not misguided work like the woman on the escalator. What about you? Are you going up the wrong way or taking a more effective way?
