Who Still Uses Wired Phones?
Not too long ago I gave up the wired phone that I had with Qwest. It simply didn’t make much sense to me to go on paying $50 per month for something I wasn’t using that much. It seemed like all my conversations were being held on my Lightyear Wireless phone or my other cell phone for my other business. So away it went!
Admittedly ,it’s sometimes hard to talk business on a cell phone. This is because you might be in a place that has a lot of background noise or just has poor reception. The wired phone would not do any good in those situations, and generally once I get back to the home office, the reception is fine. When that happens and there is trouble hearing or speaking for either party, I just offer to call them back. So who still uses wired phones and why?
My guess is that it’s people who still just don’t get cellular phones and their usage. Like these two. Or maybe there are people who really don’t want to be bothered by the phone when they go out. That’s a valid reason if the person feels that way. But the vast majority see the cell phone as a benefit to them, particularly if communication is important in their lives. Like someone looking for a job for example; They can be much more reachable by using a cell phone on their resume rather than their home phone. They may or may not be home when the prospective employer calls. Hmm. That is, if there are any prospective employers left?
