AT&T To Report Good News?
AT&T is scheduled to report its first quarter financial results on Wednesday. Although the information is not officially released until Wednesday, things leak out ahead of time. They are expected to report steady results but not exceptional results. So that is probably going to be “neutral news” as far as investors are concered. AT&T’s primary business driver now is the wireless business, driven by their partnership with Apple’s iPhone.
They are still held down a bit by their landline holdings however. Verizon which is very similar to AT&T, however Verizon has invested heavily in fiber and their own wireless network, which stems the decline in landline holdings. Verizon of course is the underlying carrier of Lightyear wireless.
