Cell Phones the Most Important in Job Searching
Is there any such thing as a recession proof business? I am not sure about ‘recession proof’ but Lightyear Wireless is certainly ‘recession resilient’. Face it: people aren’t going to give up their cell phones.
We’ve all heard volumes about increasing joblessness. We know it’s true and more people than ever are without jobs and trying to find them. When you think about it in terms of people looking for jobs, what do you think is their most valuable tool? A computer? Maybe that helps the search, but the cell phone is the most valuable tool in landing a job. Who wants to miss that call offering a job? NO ONE.
That is why smart job searchers will give their cell phone number on their resume and/or cover pages so they are more likely to receive the call back. A smart job searcher is not going to want to trust his/her land line which they may or may not be there to answer. Which brings me back to my original point. Cell phones are an integral part of life and will likely be one of the last things people will give up. (You can even see homeless people with cell phones nowadays).
