Pre Paid Wireless Plans at Lightyear Wireless
Yesterday I contacted Lightyear Wireless rep support in hopes of finding out some specific information about the upcoming pre paid cell plans. Lightyear will be offering these plans starting on or around June 1, 2009. But the rep support was still mum on specifics, claiming they didn’t really know anything at this time.
I’m sure details are still being worked out and will become available very soon. And as soon as I have details, I will post them here. In the meantime, interest in pre-paid wireless has been very strong. I am surprised by the number of people I’ve spoken with who are interested in them. These are people who said something like: well, I’m not really interested in a cell phone plan right now, but I would like to know more your pre paid plans.
This reflects the fact that a lot of people are looking hard at their monthly expenditures. And while they are not willing to give up their cell phones, they are looking for ways to cut back expenses. And many people are willing to just have the pre paid phone to use on an irregular basis. I mentioned before that pre-paid cell plans are good for people with bad credit, but these people are perfectly qualified for cell plans but are looking for alternatives. These plans will be a perfect addition to the Lightyear Wireless family of products and services.
